This song is the Hollow Wood of Decension xD
(pending the other few songs we haven't heard)
Such a different and very crazy song.
This shit is so legit. The horns give me the horn.
Wacky. I like it. That's like half of the album released! :s
So bouncy. I wouldn't necessarily compare it to Holly Wood, other than the fact that its so different from anything they've done before. Its a much better song than Holly Wood, IMO. And from the delux edition book, it seems like this song was one that was heavily altered from its original idea. I wonder what it sounded like BEFORE they worked it.

SO FUNKY! Jesus, I immediately got chills at this one! Dat Bass. Just fucking love this song instantly and with my whole heart.
Possibly the catchiest song Coheed has done. Goddamn.
I totally get how Claudio could say in the book that the band couldn't stop jamming/dancing to those horns. Song is sexy as fuck!
I absolutely love the hell out of this song, I think it's my favourite song from The Afterman so far, and that's saying something.
I see this will be a hell of a polarizing song, though. I expect the majority of Cobalters will eat it up for it's uniqueness and bouncy, funky appeal, but in general the public might not light it up with praise.
For me, it's the epitome of why I love this band. This song is unlike anything I've heard from them.
so far my fav track off the album

I'm saving that distinction for Sentry studio. The accoustic version and the live version are both so spectacular...I have a hard time believing that the studio will be anything short of one of Cohee'd absolute best ever.
Everything about this song is pure sex. It's got unusual instruments, non-typical song structure, one of the catchiest hooks I have ever heard, a baller, dark outro, and the whole thing is extremely concept-heavy. Overall 10/10 would insert into urethra.
OH. MY.
the horns @ 2:43 that play while they are counting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 is like... SEX
Even though it's one of the more unusual Coheed songs, I think it's closer to their older style than anything else they've done sine NWFT.
The intro reminds me of Al the Killer. When it kicks into the chorus, the higher vocals in the "Honey, release my heart" parts really take me back to GA1 and NWFT and even some SSTB.
Overall, I love the poppy vibe. Classic Coheed track.
So poppy but i love it. It has a weird early 90's vibe to it which is awesome.
I hope they do a video for this song. That would probably be their best video.
I felt it was more 80's New Wave.
EDIT:
btw, this is how my eyes get whenever I listen to a new Coheed track
Also, no joke, this has the same rhythm and beat as this (sorry, NBC has removed it from YouTube and Hulu/NBC don't allow forum embedding)....

ONE-EIGHTY-FOUR, LET'S BURN IT DOWN!This is my favorite song ever.
The fast singing with what sounds like Claudio and some backups just before "this is love from a gurney"...
What the hell is being said? I don't have the book with me right now and i just cannot for the life of me decipher it, haha.
Sounds like The Police. This album is shaping up to be pretty wierd. First Pink Floyd now The Police, whats next?
This song could be on so many different radio stations......pop, rock, alt rock, jazz, top 40, etc etc etc.....its short, catchy as fuck and should appeal to those haters. LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
chondra singing on the weird fast part in the middle before the love from a gurney part?
This song makes me want to dance. I never want to dance.
One two three four five six SEVEN! :D Going to be an awesome audience participation song... can't wait for a live version; hopefully there will be one despite the horns.
Dont be surprised if they bust out the horns at Radio City.
