This is my favorite thing coheed has released in a LONG time. I love it. So much. And this is just the remix.

Hoping the album version is even better than this just because... I like this version a lot.

I'm REALLY curious to hear the album version of this song, but if its anything like this one I have a feeling I'm gonna fall in love with it, just like I have this version.

I'm really curious to know how different the album version will be. I love this and am fine with it being the album version. I'm also interested because it doesn't sound like a typical remix so what does the album version sound like?

I wonder if there's going to be a video to go along with it or if it'll just be the audio.

And this time it wasn't a marketing goof!

Best "slow" song they've done since Light and The Glass.

If I'm not mistaken, this version of the song will be on the demo disc, right?

Yeah, it's one of like....11 or so. I think there's 2-3 versions of Darkside on there.

Sentry, Iron Fist, The Hard Sell, Dark Side of Me, Pretelethal. Is it normal to hear over half the album?

When did we hear Pretelethal, or the actual studio versions of Sentry, Iron Fist or Dark Side of Me?

Might as well just say we've heard the whole thing since we have the lyrics for everything too.
    ...Well except the bonus tracks.

So hey guyz is it normal to hear all but 2 songs of an album? Guyz?

The vocals at the end are amazing.
High hopes for Descension, as if they weren't high enough already!
I'll probably think it tops Ascension at first because it'll be 'new'....then I'll listen to them together and see them as 2 halves of a whole.
I think that everyone will refer to these albums as just 'The Afterman' in the future and forget we had to wait 4 months between releases.

Not really. If Sentry the Defiant and Iron Fist end up changing in super meaningful ways I'll be suprised. The only other Coheed release I was around for was YOTBR and I only remember the Broken and Juggernaut from that. But nah just be a dickish like always, it's way more helpful and useful and interesting and not played out and makes you seem ultra hip and cool. Boy I wish I could be edgy like you Dave. Sighhh.

A statement that will undoubtedly incur the horrid wrath of Dave H: I really want to listen to it, but I think I'm going to hold off until the album's released.

You should have paid more attention to the YOBTR release, because we got When Skeletons Live, The Broken, HWAJ and One before the official release.
NWFT got us a BUNCH of 2 minute clips from the album in addition to the Running Free, Hound, Gravemakers and Mother Superior.

That's okay, you'll just have settle for being a whiny, douchey, passive aggressive try hard.

Dave bro, thanks for giving me all those qualities, but I'll never out douche you man! You're the lord of the douches! We aspire to one day be able to pop our collars like you!
