Lol, my favorite bands include Metallica, The Beatles, The Offspring, and Coheed and Cambria. I'm not one for younger people. I'm just saying, the age really bugs me. I just feel like they will be pushed higher then they should because lead singer and guitarist is like 16.
The Offspring wish they were kids...
The lead singer is a douchebag anyway and jus got their other guitarist kicked out
Well if they put out good music then it wont really matter. Age doesnt matter singing quality does.
Exactly, jus remember, most of their recorded material was before he hit puberty and before his voice got deeper

They are good, I'm just worried a lot of people will call them great because they are kids.
And yes Tea-Time-Havoc, The Offspring is filled with childish guys but I love 'em!

the fact they're kids is their selling point, just like Proest The Hero were when they signed

Austin?
He's also in Lexx's over band - The Panix.
They play punk / thrash music. Its pretty good, they reply to my comments on Myspace and everything!
I dunno, he js comes off as arrogant, he never smiles for pictures - despite the fans being the reason he's still there - and is a liar. He says he doesnt drink and smoke etc, but being the stalker I am - theres photos of him doing that in Lexx's myspace photos.
And besides, Zakk is just as good at vocals.
With Lexx being a better guitarist.
i wouldnt really call it lying. how does this look to fans and kids "ya im 15 and im famous and i smoke and drink and party all the time" i would also say i didnt smoke or drink.
ya Zakk can wail but it really is Gabe's band so i cant see him leaving over Lex

oh idk how to interpret this fiasco. I mean as I said, he singer will win the fights in the band, because he's the lead singer, not mention lead guitarist. So they wouldn't dare kick Gabe out. It sucks that Alex had to leave, he was a good guitarist and really meshed well with Gabe's guitar playing. Obviously there is something that we aren't hearing, like every other band split, everything is behind the lines where the public can't see. Has he been officially out of the band? Like anything left on their website or myspace saying he is "Leaving"? Because if not, then I woudn't worry too much at this point, shit happens in bands, and a lot of the times it gets put back together.

Apparently Lex has left.
According to some fan site it was between Gabe or Lex.
this is all i know of it. you'll have to talk to Al (Tea Time) and see what he knows
or check their page
Tea-Time-Havoc
07-25-2008, 02:03 PM
It wont be on their page because people wont go to see them.
Lexx's replacement is another dude from The Panix at the mo.
Besides, Gabriel's guitar solos all sound pretty similar whilst Lexx (in all the live vids and when i saw them live) always adds an improvised solo.
Zakk's just as good at vocals too

because their music just isn't that good. I mean, they're young and talented, that's awesome, but they just don't play anything that truly interests me.

I found some advice thing that Zakk did and it made me laugh, so here it is.
Black Tide bassist, Zakk, has taken some time out of his busy schedule while on the Mayhem Tour to fix your messed up lives. If you are in need of advice, feel free to ask here.
I'm in a band that is about to do our first tour but I have a girlfriend. What kind of advice can you give me to help me stay faithful while I'm out on the road? I'm sure the temptation is tough out there.
I've always lived by the rule of don't ask, don't tell when it comes to staying faithful on the road. If you really love her, then I'm sure you will have no problem staying faithful to her. I personally have girlfriends in every city, that's the way to do it bro.
Do you have any pets?
I have 3 really awesome cats that I love to death.
I have a hard time with relationships. Do you have any advice on how to keep girls interested in me?
Relationships are dumb, and anybody who thinks that it's really gonna last is a fool. Wear tight pants and throw a banana in there if needed.
My girlfriend wants me to be more romantic. I really like this girl and don't want to blow it by being too cheesy. What should I do to convince her I have a romantic side?
A girls idea of romantic is you paying for shit. My idea of romance is asking her before I put it in her butt. Tell her to stop asking for more than she can handle and that she needs to go buy you some new shoes.
What is Jenkem? Have you ever tried it?
Jenkem is an alleged hallucinogenic recreational drug composed of noxious gas formed from fermented human feces. It's pretty gross and I wouldn't recommend ever trying it. No comment as to if I have ever done it, but I will try almost anything twice.
I didn't graduate High School last year and was told to take 1 class in summer school. I haven't gone to single class. Should I tell my parents? I am 18.
I dropped out of high school on my first day of senior year, so if you really care about some asshole giving you a piece of paper that says you sat in a classroom for 12 years, then go ahead and get it. Don't let them keep you down.
Do you have a good recipe for turkey chili?
Sadly enough I don't, but I'll bet if you watch the food network for a couple of hours something will come up. If all else fails, go to the supermarket, but a can of chili and throw some turkey cubes in it and shut up.
I play in a band and we're thinking about doing a 2 week tour in the fall or winter. With gas prices so high right now, it looks like we're gonna have to start living on $5 a day each. Any advice and what cities are the cheapest?
There is no such thing as a cheap city anymore, find a bunch of local sponsors and let them throw their buisness name on the side of your van, or whatever you have, and let them pay you for it. Treat the situation like a kids little league team.
I am 14 and get excited when I see my older sister, is this normal?
I'm not really sure, I use to get excited when I saw my friends sisters, but I never had one of my own. I don't think it's that normal, but it's probably pretty common when you're that age. Maybe try sneaking in on her in the shower and get a good look to make sure. If you're really into it, ask her to do something, if she isn't, wait till she's drunk and make your fantasy's come true!
How did you get into music?
When I was about 3 my mom showed me van halen, from then on I was totally hooked and wanted to be david lee roth.

Also, is Austin a good fill in for Lexx?
I mean Lexx was bad-ass and the better guitarist between him and Gabe and The Panix are bad-ass so...fill me in

He sounded great with them. I don't know exactly which parts he played though. The singer's voice sounds way different. Not bad at all though.

As a pseudo-bassist, I take offense at this statement. GTFO pick bassists.
But seriously, I have fallen in love with Black Tide- and I don't even like metal, like, at all. This is seriously good stuff.

Jayson

Why?
The tone used when using a pick with a bass is widely regarded to be inferior than your fingers- I wholeheartedly agree. When I do use a pick, I use it because I'm playing something complicated enough to where my relatively noob fingers have trouble with it.
Steve Harris plays incredibly fast, sprawling basslines that, by all fucking accounts, should be picked, but somehow, that man's fingers can do it. The simple fact he can pull the stuff he pull's off like he does, with the thumpy tone he does, is pretty much full proof that the only reason you'd ever use a pick is if you couldn't do something with your fingers.
Bottom line- Steve Harris is a phenomenal fucking bassist, and while pick bass is effective, it is used almost certainly because the player's fingers are not up to snuff, or they never tried to get them up to snuff out of laziness.
Someone out there is going to hate this post...

lol, I didn't think you'd take my post seriously about Steve Harris, lawlz.
Pick bassists are fine if they want to play slower and less complicated parts and want to just blend into the background.
finger bassists give the instrument a little flare.

They covered the Prowler on the Kerrang! tribute to Maiden.

And although I hate Megadeth (I know you will all crucify me for it)

I despise Metallica (post-burton).
All my metalhead friends heads were exploding around the time of Megadeth's tour a year or two ago, i gave them a listen, and I never understood why people liked them. But I generally don't like that 80's thrash metal stuff... exceptions being Motorhead, Metallica with Burton and Slayer. Black Tide to, though they aren't eighties.
I enjoy me some prog, punk and alternative.

It's hard to classify bands that have lasted this long, they've been around decades and released music, so we can't limit them to any one decade.
Bands like Europe and Cinderella, THOSE were 80s bands.
